Weinberg Magazine Wins Gold

CASE recognizes the College’s magazine for outstanding achievement

Weinberg, the magazine of the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, has received a 2014 gold award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District V, the organization has announced.

The award is in the category of “best specialized or unit-level magazine,” which includes magazines for colleges within an institution. CASE singled out Weinberg for its creativity, use of resources, and success in meeting its goals, which included greater engagement with the alumni community and advocacy of a liberal arts and sciences education.

The magazine, which formerly published under the name of Crosscurrents, was redesigned in 2013 after extensive input from the Weinberg College community. It is distributed twice a year to alumni, faculty, staff, friends and parents of current Weinberg College students. It has a circulation of approximately 60,000.

Weinberg magazine was not the only Northwestern University project to be honored in the CASE competition. The University was also recognized in the following categories:
