Most students take a first-year seminar during the fall quarter of their first year and a second seminar in either the winter or spring. Beyond that, see our advice for assembling a schedule appropriate to your interests and preparation.
Choose your first-year courses
First-generation college students are invited to apply for an exciting suite of bridge programs created especially for them. Programs include Bio&ChemEXCEL, Bridge, and NU Bioscientist. Students whose high schools offered little or no AP preparation are also encouraged to apply.
