Humanities Without Walls Projects Move Forward

Earlier this year, the Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities launched Humanities Without Walls, an ambitious, institution-spanning project to promote research around issues of global importance.

The overarching theme of the initiative is The Global Midwest, and scholars from 13 institutions were invited to apply for funding to launch research projects that addressed that concept.

The recipients of those seed funds have been announced, and their proposed topics span the broad range of the humanities. They include the following Northwestern University scholars:

Toward a Global Midwest Digital Archive of 1960s and 70s Poetry and Print Culture
