Leadership Opportunities
We are proud to offer the following leadership opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students who wish to support the first-generation and lower-income community here at Northwestern!
Summer Program Counselor
Counselors will live in the dorm, organize social events, lead study groups, and create a safe and welcoming environment for students participating in our academic summer programs.
Note: We are no longer accepting applications to be a counselor for the summer of 2024.
Academic Year Peer Mentor
Peer mentors support first-generation and lower-income students during their first year at Northwestern through a series of weekly workshops and community-building events.
Note: Applications for 2026-27 will open in Spring 2026.

Graduate students are vital to the mission of our summer programs, as leaders in the residential dorm and as educators in the classroom.

Academic Year Graduate Assistant
During the academic year, graduate students coordinate the peer mentoring program, supervising the undergraduate peer mentors and developing the weekly curriculum for the program.
