Why did you choose Northwestern?
I chose Northwestern because of all the incredible opportunities it seemed to offer - both academically and personally. I've loved having the freedom to explore different areas and figure out what I truly enjoy. Whether it's through classes, extracurriculars, or connections with inspiring professors, the university has allowed me to discover new passions and make life-long relationships.

I'm also grateful for the amazing friends I've made along the way! They've been a huge part of my undergraduate, and I feel lucky to have built such meaningful relationships here.

Why did you participate in Arch Scholars?

Arch Scholars really helped me ease into the world of research, an area I had no prior experience or understanding of before college. Throughout Bridge and Posner, I gained invaluable skills and insights that not only expanded my academic horizons but also sparked a deep interest in exploring how research can create real-world impact. The supportive environment, combined with hands-on experience, allowed me to grow in confidence and curiosity.

What is one of your favorite Arch memories?
Presenting at the Posner Symposium one of the most rewarding experiences I've had at Northwestern. It was one of the first times I had shared a project with a large audience, and I look back on that moment as a significant milestone in building the confidence I had set out to develop.

What is your favorite spot on campus?
The rocks by the lake are the perfect place to relax or catch up with friends.

What's one piece of advice you would give to incoming students or other FGLI students?
Grit is what will set you apart, and as FGLI students, we already possess that resilience, which will carry us through challenges and help us succeed.
