Paths: What Did You Do With Your Arts and Sciences Degree?
The paths that Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences graduates take through life are varied and often unexpected. In this issue of Weinberg magazine, Samir Mayekar '06, Nicole Gonzalez Van Cleve '99, and Dave Revsine '91 share some of the twists and turns their lives took after they graduated from Weinberg College.
Samir Mayekar '06
Samir Mayekar’s career path has taken him from Northwestern to the White House and then back to Northwestern.
Now, in an office in a technology park on Chicago’s South Side, he’s confident he has found the place where he belongs.
Nicole Gonzalez Van Cleve '99
Nicole Gonzalez Van Cleve still remembers how she stocked up on yellow legal pads, preparing for her undergraduate internship at America’s largest criminal court: Chicago-Cook County. She was participating in the College’s Chicago Field Studies Program, where students intern for a quarter while taking a class that provides perspective on the experience.
Dave Revsine '91
For former ESPN announcer and Big Ten Network host Dave Revsine, being a Wildcat runs even deeper than alumni pride.
Northwestern has always been his home team, his Blackhawks, his Chicago Bears.
