Revisit Remote Tool Tips

Although we have been out of the classroom for over a year, it is never too late to add to your technical toolbox. The Remote Tool Tips page--showcasing tips we developed last year after we all went home--has advice for typical topics, such as Zoom, but also touches on some less common topics, such as cyber-security, e-signatures, and MS Bookings. For example:
  • Email overload is an issue that won't go away. We suggest Microsoft Teams as an alternate platform to discuss work with colleagues or maybe even classwork with students. Look to the MS Teams tip for more information on managing your account and creating teams.
  • Staying active and engaged is especially important as we head into the final stretch of the pandemic. Check out the "Ergonomics at Home" story to make sure your chair, desk, and monitor setup is at the right height and angle--and to find ways to remind yourself to take screen breaks and stretch out your wrists and neck.
If these tips are useful, be sure to check out the full page for even more advice.
