Weinberg College IT News, Spring 2019
Director's note
Dear Colleagues,
As spring blossoms across campus and the end of the quarter rushes towards us, Weinberg College IT is similarly renewing and looking ahead. I am very excited to welcome new colleagues, who are refilling our vacant positions:
- Jennifer Bivens, Business Analyst Lead
- Christine Glass, Developer
Get to know our new Weinberg College colleagues in this issue’s Staff Spotlight. Each brings unique experience and skills that we’re looking forward to integrating into our team and the College.
I am also energized by our refocus on priorities specific to the College due to our IT support functions transitioning to Northwestern IT. The Weinberg College embedded staff on the Northwestern IT support team will continue to provide the support services you depend on to get your daily work done. Our new focus at Weinberg College Information Technology will be to provide broad-based, high-impact solutions to the College that facilitate research, enhance teaching & learning, and improve administration & process. As we plan our work for this coming year, we welcome any suggestions or input into this process from you.
Lastly, many of you are getting ready for the summer. We have some suggestions for prepping to leave campus, especially if you are going abroad. As always, if you have any feedback for me on this newsletter or the services we provide, please do let me know.
Best,
Michael Satut
