Not only are these policies different from standard policies, there are also important differences between the two quarters. Undergraduate Academic Advising
Undergraduate students are encouraged to contact their Weinberg College Adviser or adviser in their home school for guidance. You can make a virtual appointment through Inspire. FAQs on P/NP for Winter and Spring Quarter are below.

College Advisers are available for virtual advising through Zoom. Log into Inspire to set up a Zoom appointment. Follow these instructions to make a virtual appointment. Undergraduates from other schools should consult with their school for more information about setting up advising appointments.

Below is information on Weinberg College forms and submission processes for Spring Quarter 2020. Please refer to the Office of the Registrar website for information on their forms.

Instructions
- Download the declaration form and fill out the student and major/minor information sections.
- Save the pdf named as: “<Your Last Name>_<Your Student ID>”.
- Follow the department/program instructions for the major/minor you would like to declare in making an advising appointment and submitting the form for their approval.
- The department/program approver should submit the completed and signed petition to: wcas-forms@northwestern.edu
Petitioning for Weinberg Study Abroad Credit
Use this form to request the application of credits transferred from a study abroad program toward a Weinberg College major, minor, foreign language, or distribution requirement.

Instructions
- Download the petition and fill out student information section.
- Save the pdf named as: “<Your Last Name>_<Your Student ID>_Study Abroad”
- Submit the petition and supporting documentation following the directions below for the type of credit you are requesting.
For Major, Minor, and/or Foreign Language Credit
- Submit the petition and supporting documentation (relevant syllabi, course descriptions, or coursework) to the director of undergraduate studies or faculty adviser in all relevant departments/programs for review.
- Once completed and digitally signed by the relevant departments/programs, the student or faculty adviser should email the petition to the Registrar: nu-transfer-credit@northwestern.edu
For Distribution Requirement Credit (Weinberg College students only)
- Submit the petition and supporting documentation (see below) to: wcas-forms@northwestern.edu
- Required supporting documentation for distribution requirement credit requests:
- study abroad transcript
- course description
- syllabus
- reading list
- The petition and supporting documentation will be reviewed by the Weinberg College dean's office and sent directly to the Registrar if approved.

Pass/No Pass FAQs
In response to the unprecedented circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the Office of the Provost has adjusted grading policies for the Winter & Spring 2020 quarters. These FAQs and advising resources will help Weinberg College undergraduate students and faculty make academic decisions and plans for these quarters.
Pass/No Pass Policies for Winter 2020
Within a limited timeframe, students have the option to retroactively turn Winter 2020 grades to Pass/No Pass.
Pass/No Pass Policies for Spring 2020
All Spring Quarter 2020 courses will be graded Pass/No Pass.
